The Original

In 1897, Rudolf Diesel completed development work on his engine in the halls of today’s MAN Diesel & Turbo in Augsburg. The first diesel engine of the world, the original, was built and tested there. MAN has developed and produced diesel engines which can run on a broad range of fuels ever since.
